Each book is preceded by a full-page engraved illustration (6 illustrations, complete). Full calf binding of the period, marbled endpapers, edges of text block stained blue. Condition of the book is Fair; much scuffing and wear to leather, particularly at spine and corners, leather is cracked at front joint, but both hinges are very solid and binding is tight, previous owner's name stamped on 2nd front endpaper along with 2 lines of writing in Ink, pages are generally very clean with occasional light foxing. biography stack 0.0.
