My Name is Green: Coloring Book Edition

Kate J. Gillmore (October 18, 1978- September 22, 2023) was a devoted educator whose heart beat for the children. Kate had always found her purpose in children. She was the teacher who wore her ID badge with a handwritten "By Ms.K8," a playful touch that made her instantly approachable. She sat crisscross applesauce on the floor, meeting her students at eye level to make it easier to connect. She was the one who could coax a smile from the shyest child, the one who believed every struggling reader had a story worth telling.

This is Kate's story. A story of loss and love, of despair and determination. A story of how one woman, armed with solitude and an uncanny gift for connecting with children, fought to reclaim her voice and in doing so, gave countless others the courage to find theirs.

For Kate, no child stood apart; they were all colors blending to form one world. Her goal was never profit, but connection to help children find belonging, compassion, and hope. Her book is her gift to children, a lesson in unity, self-discovery, and understanding.
