Französischer Maler, Aquarellmaler und Grafiker. Autodidakt. Zunächst Entwurf und Herstellung von Art-déco-Möbeln. Später Hinwendung zu Malerei und Grafik. 1942 erste Einzelausstellung und Teilnahme am Salon de Tunis. Zahlreiche Reisen führten ihn nach Frankreich, Griechenland, Spanien und Portugal. Bekannt für seine Stadtansichten aus Nancy und Umgebung. Im Druckstock rechts unten gestochene Signatur: r simonin.
