He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Juan C. Cruz, PhD, is a distinguished researcher and engineer at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), where he has been advancing the frontiers of nanobiotechnology since 2016. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Colombia and earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University, where his innovative work established a new platform for enzyme immobilization for applicstions in non-aqueous media.
