It examines the possibilities of nanotechnology in the established papermaking industry by showing cutting-edge uses of nanomaterials as reinforcements, coatings, and additives in manufacturing paper. This change can promote environmentally responsible and sustainable business practices within the sector while enhancing the performance and quality of paper goods. The pulp and paper business will transform to become more sustainable, effective, and environmentally friendly by using nanomaterials if paper makers can create high-performance papers with minimal environmental impact by integrating nanocellulose, nanocoatings, and other nanomaterials. This book is useful to researchers, scientists, engineers, and business professionals in the pulp and paper industry, nanotechnology, material science, and sustainable manufacturing.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar Bachheti earned his MSc in Organic Chemistry (1998) from HNB Garhwal University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Pulp and Paper Technology (2001) from Forest Research Institute (Deemed University) Dehradun, India and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Kumaun University. With over 22 years of teaching and research experience, he has worked nationally and internationally and serves as adjunct faculty at several universities.
