It makes a humble evaluation of Rao’s administration spanning over 1991 to 1996 through a plain story telling on the greatness of a statesman and patriot who made history.

The main question being dealt within the book is the economic liberalization initiated by Rao in June 1991. The shackled energies of the nation were for the first time unleased and these forces opened a new age in economic build up. The Kashmir question, the Khalistan movement, etc. have been discussed as the new achievements of Narasimha Rao, the new giant maker. India got an administration under Rao which was least expected from his little known rather isolated political life as a loyalist of the Nehru family.
