National Anthems of the World

This indispensable source book has, over the years, proved invaluable, not only for the increasing number of occasions on which a particular National Anthem would be played, but also as a permanent reference book.

For this Ninth Edition, the editors have continued their research and have acquired much more information to add to our knowledge in this particular field. Thus, in view of the many recent significant changes that have occurred in the world scene, the National Anthems of Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Eritrea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Macedonia, Marshall Island, Micronesia, Palau, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are now added. In all, the National Anthems of 195 countries are included.

Each National Anthem is presented with the words in the original language(s) set, where possible, to the music and, where necessary, with a transliterated phonetic version, so that it may be sung by people of other tongues. A literal translation of the original words is also provided.
