The developed nations want us to believe that globalization is the way to prosperity. This is pure sales talk. Globalism is a concept brought by the developed nations for their own benefit. Globalization is a ploy which aims to exploit the developing world with money of western investors in the same way the moneylenders have exploited the poor in our country for centuries. There is no truth in the belief that globalization is beneficial for the poor nations. In fact, it has been universally experienced that wherever this concept has been pursued the poor became poorer. It is true for individuals. It is true for nations as well.
Nationalism is the answer to our problems. Nationalism is simply doing what is in the best national interest. America and the other developed nations have followed this and always act in their own interests. Should developing countries not follow the example of United States and Europe and act in their best national interest? The book attempts to find answers to such key questions and suggests ways and means to achieve our economic objectives.
It will be highly useful to the students and teachers of Economics and serve as a good reference source for the researchers in the subject. It makes an interesting and inculcating reading for those who have an urge to know more about the current state of economy of India in the context of globalization.
