Native American Tales Retold (Paperback)

Paperback. This is a collection of traditional Native American Folk Tales told to us by our Elders when we were children. There are stories of Bear, Rabbit the Trickster, Otter, Possum, Bat and other traditional characters. Most of the stories have meaning at several different levels: They are fun and entertaining and most have a message to teach the young. The authors are active in the Native American Community in Appalachia and share different bloodlines from the People who have lived for many generations in our beloved West Virginia. We have passed these stories on to our children and grandchildren and want to share them with everyone. This item is printed on demand.
