As a Chicago high school science teacher, he is committed to integrating themes (identity, social justice, judicial policy) into his writing that directly relate to and inspire the youth with which he works. His aim is to intensify and increase the provocativeness of the conversation and evaluation of these subjects by incorporating elements of science fiction.
