Native Voices II: The Cry of Creation

Native Voices II: The Cry of Creation gathers the most compelling authors and poets recognized through Kinsman Quarterly's 2nd Annual Native Voices Award, offering a powerful chorus of Indigenous expression from across the globe. Featuring voices from the Americas, Asia, Australia, Oceania, and Africa, this anthology bears witness to ancestral memory, land, spirit, and survival.

Across poetry and prose, these writers listen to the earth and answer its call. Their works trace sacred ties between people and place, confront the violence of erasure and extraction, and celebrate resilience rooted in tradition, language, and story. Here, creation itself becomes a living presence-grieving, resisting, remembering, and renewing-while Indigenous perspectives illuminate pathways toward justice, balance, and belonging.

Curated by Kinsman Quarterly, Native Voices II continues and expands a vital literary platform committed to amplifying underrepresented voices. This collection invites readers not only to hear the cry of creation, but to honor it-to recognize Indigenous storytelling and poetry as essential wisdom for our shared future.
