About this Item

Good to very good 2nd edition 1830. Half leather with marbled boards and end papers. Raised bands to spine with gilt titles. Some rubbing to leather and what appears to be a label abrasion to front board otherwise very good. Red edging to text block. Book Plate of John Hopton of Hereford to front end paper and some foxing to prelims and latter pages with the majority of the text clean and free from blemishes. A detailed discussion of meaning & abuse of religious and secular enthusiasm, prophecy, special providences, heresy, devotion, etc. In essence enthusiasm evaluated right and wrong, good and bad.
