hardback, 8vo, complete in 20 volumes, with frontispiece and 679 (of 680) numbered plates, including 2 folding maps. lacks plate 211 at v.6, p122, 'The Crab-Eater' which was apparently not bound in. Marbled edges and endpapers, some light foxing, and offsetting from many of the plates, contents otherwise clean and tight throughout, no inscriptions or ownership marks, all internal bindings are tight, full leather binding, gilt-decorated spines, 16 boards are detached, and most of the other spine joints are weak and cracking, boards slightly rubbed, spines worn in places with some fraying at spine ends, and lacking 2 upper and one lower spine title labels. Fair condition.
