Full leather bound. Published date? 1854? Volume 1 This large and old volume illustrates, (numerous colored engravings), and describes, many, many mammals, snakes and birds and some humans. The full leather exterior of the volume has numerous worn areas on both covers, all edges and corners and faded gold lettering on the spine. The guilt edges of the closed volume's page edges remains fairly well preserved with only some areas of wearing on them. The interior of the volume is stained inside the front cover,has browned title pages, and lightly tanned book pages and some staining along some of its page edges, but otherwise has no visible extraneous markings throughout it and thus has all of its printing and the scores of illustrations contained within it in a well-preserved and enjoyable condition and has bindings that seem to remain tight and therefore would be sound. If you order this very old and comprehensive (for that time period) guide to animals, snakes, birds and a few humans from us, we will carefully wrap it up in either foam or bubble wrap, then pad and box it and post it right away to you with both insurance and tracking on it.
