Lovely hand-colored engraved title page is one of three title pages. 264 pp. of text. Frontispiece portrait of M. Le Comte de Lacepede and a 16 pp. Memoir of him. Tight but slightly cocked binding. Interior is clean and plates are in lovely condition. No foxing. Damp stain along external joint of back cover. It does not affect the interior at all. 7-1/8" x 4-1/2." Brown cloth cover, spine stamped in gold.
