Nature Log Kids : A Kid's Journal to Record Their Nature Experiences

Inspire a love of nature with this guided journal that teaches children to observe, record, draw, and learn about the natural world.

Turn every walk, hike, camping trip, park visit, or backyard adventure into a memory worth keeping. Nature Log Kids gives children a fun, easy way to notice the natural world, write about what they see, and draw their discoveries.

Designed for ages 5 to 12, this guided logbook helps kids write about plants, animals, tracks, sounds, weather, and other outdoor observations. Each log page includes simple prompts—such as what they saw, where they saw it, and what it looked like—plus room for drawing. Along the way, young nature lovers will also find fascinating facts, hands-on activities, games, experiments, craft ideas, and suggestions for helping the Earth.

Perfect for family time, school nature studies, vacations, and other screen-free outdoor fun, Nature Log Kids by DeAnna Ortiz Brandt and Laura Holte helps children slow down, look closely, and create a one-of-a-kind keepsake worth cherishing.

Inside you’ll find:

• 44 guided log pages for writing observations and drawing nature finds
• 14 Notes/Photos/Art pages for photos, sketches, pressed leaves, extra notes, or keepsake creations
• 2 Quick Log pages to track discoveries at a glance
• A Log Tips page with helpful ideas for observing, recording, and respecting nature
