Lithograph, 39.1 x 27.9 cm (plate-mark including captions), publisher's blind stamp, three sealed marginal tears (not affecting the image), margins browned, small chip from the lower left corner, in a modern window mount. Prepared as Plate no. 117 from the "Atlas pittoresque" to Jules Sebastien Cesar Dumont D'Urville's "Voyage au pole sud et dans l'Oceanie". The great French voyager visited Raffles Bay in the (now) Northern Territory between 27th March and 6th April 1839 whilst on his final voyage.
