This Compendium has been prepared for use in Navigation study at the Officer Candidate School, the various Naval ROTC Units, and within the fleet. The material presented is intended to provide the essentials to the practice of navigation, accordingly, the Compendium covers a wide and expanding subject area with brevity. Originally prepared and used by Capt. H. R. Moore, USN (ret.) when an instructor in the grade of Lt at the Officer Candidate School.
