Volodymyr Sichynsky (1894-1962) was an accomplished architect and graphic artist. He studied at prestigious institutions such as the St. Petersburg Institute of Civil Engineers and Charles University in Prague. In 1930, he co-founded the Association of Independent Ukrainian Artists and later became a professor at the Ukrainian Free University. Upon immigrating to the United States in 1949, he continued his teaching career at the Ukrainian Technical Institute in New York. After co-establishing the Architectural Institute in Kiev, he taught in Lviv and Prague, before he was arrested and imprisoned by the Gestapo in 1943. Sichynskyi emigrated to the US in 1949, where he continued writing and working on his architectural designs until his death.
