About the Author

Der Autor, geb. 1939, ist in Karlsruhe aufgewachsen, lebt in Freiburg und schreibt seit 2010 unter dem Pseudonym Roland E. Ruf. Als Lehrer im Schuldienst in Baden-W�rttemberg war er an verschiedenen Orten des Landes t�tig, u.a. im Raum Bruchsal, im Rhein-Neckar-Gebiet und in S�dw�rttemberg. Der geografische Bezug ist in seinen Texten nicht zu �bersehen (Kurzgeschichten, Erz�hlungen und ein Roman), ebenso wenig sein zeitgeschichtliches Interesse - beides bildet den Rahmen seines Erz�hlens, in dessen Mittelpunkt die Entfaltung von Pers�nlichkeit steht. Was er wahrnimmt, gibt er als Autor im Fluss erz�hlender Handlungen an den Leser weiter - verdichtet im Erleben seiner Protagonisten, ob in Ich-Form oder aus der Distanz eines Beobachters. Sie, die Protagonisten sind in soweit real, als ihre Lebensumst�nde, Wesensz�ge und Erlebnisse collageartig der Wirklichkeit entnommen sind. Das gilt auch f�r den Erz�hler Roland.
