I Don't Need No Scruples

“I Don’t Need No Scruples” is a collection of humorous columns dealing with first dates, trashy Christmas decorations, boobies, underpants ,the God Particle, and a horse named Sphincter, among other things. These ravings present a view of the world that is both twisted and insightful, and may cause one to laugh out loud or exclaim WTF.

Michael attended college in the late '60s where he studied everything except what would earn him a paycheck. He then served a two-year stint as a trained killer for the U.S. government (he was drafted) before trying his hand at a variety of jobs including selling cemetery plots and substitute teaching. Eventually, he stumbled (don't worry, he wasn't hurt) into the field of journalism where he spent 30 years as a newspaper editor. Michael says his favorite part of this job was writing a weekly column which allowed him to inflict his twisted sense of humor on unsuspecting readers. Michael loves books, music, movies and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels.
