Upon his retirement after 20 years, Billy settled down in Kentucky. In October of 1988, he had his own life changing encounter with Jesus Christ, and found that relationship. He explains it in his books as, a white knuckle experience. Since then he has served as Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Trustee, Chaplain in the prison and trucking ministry, in the Choir, and song leader; and also enjoys a ministry of singing gospel songs at the local nursing home and senior center.
About the Author
Billy grew up in Lumberton, NC. He now lives in Lebanon Junction, KY with his beautiful wife, Donna. After retiring from the Air Force in 1988, he realized how unfulfilled his life was and started searching for an answer. The answer came in an unusual way, and resulted in a life changing experience. This remarkable journey led him to the Ole Ship of Zion, and this is one ship he has never regretted boarding. He served as a Chaplain in the prison ministry for nearly 20 years, and now serves as a Chaplain for over the road truck drivers, in the Truck Stop Ministry. He enjoys singing gospel songs at the local nursing home and senior center. His desire is to see the lost saved, and the saved encouraged. This book expands on his first, Kiss and Tell Your Story, in pointing you to the Source of the joy and hope he has discovered in his journey. You won't find the answer he found in religions, self-help books, or pumped up seminars. The answer lies in a relationship. That relationship is found in Jesus Christ.
