Needlepoint: Design Your Own Muriel Baker; Barbara Eyre; Margaret Wall and Charlotte Westerfield

Here is a book to release the experienced worker from the restrictions of commercial designs, to say nothing of the expense. It is planned to help needlepointers express their skill in creating original designs as well as in expert stitchery. Going further than most needlepoint books, it explains the elements and rules of design and color and gives designs suitable for specific stitches and designs suitable for special occasions or places; many more uses are suggested besides the obvious pillows and rugs. Initials and monograms, borders and boxing are fully dealt with, as well as blocking and mounting.
