Everyone loves a story that's passed the test of time,
especially if it's about Christmas and written in a rhyme.
This story is about Needles, the very first Christmas tree,
and how he saved the forest by overcoming adversity.
Needles helped the forest animals when they were in need
with kindness and compassion, and more than one good deed.
This story is a favorite you'l want to return to every year,
adding to your traditions and your family's Christmas cheer.
David Kurud was born and raised in Morris, Minnesota, close to where the big pine trees grow. A graduate of the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities, David enjoyed a career in advertising that included work for a Minneapolis newspaper, the Star Tribune. He now lives in Green Valley, Arizona. The Story of Needles took forty years to complete, and David hopes it will become part of cherished Christmas traditions.
