Oatmeal cloth covered boards with publisher's device in brown to front and brown lettering//rules to spine. Publisher code D-S ( April 1943). This copy is NEAR FINE in a VG, unclipped ($4.50) , Brodart covered DJ. Exterior is rich. Lettering is bright. Extremities are sharp. Minimal rubbing/toning around the edges. From the "Private Library of Jesse Dickinson ( 1906-1982, served in the Indiana House and the Indiana Senate and was an African-American reformer and activist). Inside with his ownership stamps to front paste down and FEP. Otherwise unmarked, crisp, and tight with modest toning. DJ is bright with minimal rubbing/soiling.Laid in is a one page typed/handwritten set of notes on Olivet A.M.E. Church stationery , South Bend, In. , also with Dickinson's ownership stamp. Outstanding provenance and SCARCE in this condition, especially with DJ.
