In the penultimate volume in the Definitive Nemesis the Warlock series, the cosmic conflict between Nemesis and Torquemada continues to unfold across the history of time and space. Chasing after the dangerous Thoth, Nemesis, Purity and Torquemada race backwards through time to try and claim him first. But time-travel has consequences for the whole of reality, and Thoth's presence causes ruptures which threaten existence itself!
Written by Pat Mills, this mind-bending volume of Definitive Nemesis features art by John Hicklenton (Heavy Metal Dredd), Carl Critchlow (Batman/Judge Dredd), and David Roach (Star Wars, Aliens).
About the Author
Pat Mills Pat Mills is the creator and first editor of 2000 AD. He developed Judge Dredd and is the writer-creator of many of 2000 AD’s most popular stories such as Sláine, Nemesis and A.B.C. Warriors.
Amongst his credits are Marshal Law (Marvel and DC Comics), co-created with Kevin O’Neill, the French graphic novel series Requiem, Vampire Knight with artist Olivier Ledroit, and Be Pure! Be Vigilant! Behave! The Secret History of 2000 AD and Judge Dredd. His current projects include Joe Pineapples: Tin Man, illustrated by Simon Bisley and Clint Langley, Spacewarp, and Kiss My Axe! The Secret History of Sláine the Warped Warrior.
John Hicklenton John Hicklenton has illustrated a wide range of strips across both 2000 AD and the Megazine, including Heavy Metal Dredd, Judge Dredd, Mean Machine, Nemesis the Warlock, Pandora, Rogue Trooper, Strange Cases and Tharg's Future Shocks. His work can also be seen in Crisis! and Deadline. Most recently he has provided the art for Blood of Satanus III in Judge Dredd Megazine and worked with Pat Mills on Zombie World.
Kevin O'Neill Kevin O’Neill was a 2000 AD legend. From working as an art assistant on the very first prog, he quickly became involved in the creative side of the comic, co-creating classics like A.B.C. Warriors, Bonjo From Beyond The Stars, Metalzoic and Nemesis the Warlock.
Outside the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, O’Neill was briefly notorious as the only artist ever to have his work rejected wholesale by the Comics Code Authority! Happily, his notoriety quickly became fame and acclaim, as his work on strips like Marshal Law and most recently The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen raised him to a very high profile.
Carl Critchlow Carl Critchlow is another 2000 AD artist whose popularity is rising, thanks primarily to his work on the co-created semi-comic sci-fi strip Lobster Random. He made his debut some years previously, however, working on Nemesis and Deadlock, then moving on to Batman/Judge Dredd, Flesh, Flesh 3000 AD, Future Shocks, Judge Dredd, Mean Machine and Tales of Telguuth. Outside of 2000 AD, Critchlow is well known for his work on Thrud The Barbarian.
