The Nephilim and the erosion of moral boundaries (Paperback or Softback)

The Nephilim, often described as giants in ancient texts, exhibit a range of characteristics and attributes that have captivated scholars and enthusiasts alike. Primarily noted for their immense size and strength, these beings are frequently depicted as formidable entities that transcend the capabilities of ordinary humans. Their descriptions in various historical accounts, particularly in biblical narratives, highlight their supernatural qualities, suggesting they were not merely mythological figures but possibly representations of ancient fears and reverence for the unknown. In addition to their physical attributes, the Nephilim are associated with a complex interplay of divine and earthly elements.

According to some interpretations of ancient texts, they are the offspring of the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men," which raises questions about their nature and origin. This hybridisation implies a duality that is central to their identity: they possess divine attributes yet are rooted in human lineage. Such characteristics have led to various theological interpretations, particularly within Christianity, where they are viewed through the lens of sin, judgment, and the consequences of transgressing divine boundaries. The influence of the Nephilim extends beyond ancient texts into modern esoteric traditions, where they are often viewed as symbols of knowledge, power, and the quest for enlightenment.
