The authors highlight distinctive facts, such as the contributions of astronomer William Herschel's sister and colleague, Caroline, or the nitrogen geysers on Neptune's moon Triton, and close with open-ended looks outward, including, in Neptune, a mention of the recently discovered planetoid, Sedna. Though the internet portal isn't compatible with all browsing software, and many of the color illustrations are unvarnished screen shots with visible menu bars, both titles will make useful additions to multimedia-oriented collections.–John Peters, New York Public Library
