About the Author

Saurabh Mittal, is the founder and principal scientist at Dunip Technologies, which he manages in his free time. He is currently a full-time research scientist at L3 Communications and contractor to US Air Force Research Lab, 711th Human Performance Wing, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. Here in this capacity he is working on large scale cognitive modeling and simulation using DEVS infrastructure, platform independent modeling, domain specific languages, system entity structures and various other large scale M&S efforts for intelligence-based systems. He is a recipient of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) highest civilian contractor recognition 'Golden Eagle' award. He serves on various conference program committees and reviewer of many prestigious international journals. His areas of interest include Web-based M&S using SOA, executable architectures, netcentricity, DEVS Unified Process, SES theory and applications, parallel distributed simulation, complex systems, complex adaptive systems and System of Systems engineering using DoDAF.
