Never Forget: The Long Road Home

We live in exciting yet scary times. Surely we are nearing the "end of days" and the long awaited return of our Messiah! While every generation since His first coming has had those who say "the end is near," never before in history could a person take the text from the prophets, and hold them up to the daily news and say “Wow!" The most prophesied event in the Bible is the restoration of Israel and the return of the Jewish people to the land. Messiah Yeshua foretold that when Jerusalem was no longer trampled underfoot by foreigners, that the fig tree (Israel) would once again leaf out and this would be the sign that His return was imminent. This is happening - NOW! These facts of the modern world – the existence of Israel, the survival of the Jewish people, the growth of Messianic Judaism, and the return of the Good News to the very soil from which it sprang ("My Word shall not return void"), are unprecedented in all of world history! These are truly amazing times, times of prophetic fulfillment, which can only mean one thing: the clock is ticking, and the time of Yeshua’s return is approaching rapidly. But we must "Never Forget" that it has been a "Long Road Home!" For the better part of the last 2000 years Israel lie in desolation and ruins; the Jewish people have been scattered around the globe, facing untold suffering and horrors as they were expelled from one country after another, endured endless persecutions, and seemingly stood on the verge of destruction and extinction. Yet, miraculously, Am Yisrael Chai - The People of Israel Live, and Jewish Yeshua followers are at numbers never seen in all of history! Set against the backdrop of the 1967 six-day war, which culminated in the reunification of Jerusalem under Jewish control for the first time in over 1800 years, this poignant story traces the account of one Jewish Yeshua believing family across the centuries as they struggle to maintain their identity as both Jews and believers in the Risen Messiah Yeshua and to fulfill the prophecies of returning to the land. Come along as the characters share their stories of faith, adversity, and ultimately rejoicing, with you. May your faith in the Lord be increased and strengthened as well!
