When she is adopted, Chi Chi's family realize that the bandages on her legs fall off easily. They decide to get her prosthetic legs, or "shoes," so she can run and play like other dogs. Chi Chi's hard work and joyful spirit give her the power to get stronger. When she gets her new shoes, Chi Chi is grateful to God for His plan for her life. About the Authors

Elizabeth Howell has been passionate about helping animals since she was a child. This book is based on the true story of a golden retriever that her family adopted named Chi Chi. Elizabeth hopes that everyone that reads this book will be inspired by Chi Chi's ability to never give up and be joyful, regardless of her circumstances.

Midwestern resident Blayne Fox grew up romping through the Missouri woodlands, letting her imagination take flight to create magical kingdoms and creatures wherever she went. Predominantly self-taught, Blayne knew what she was going to be from a very young age: an artist. After attending art college, she plunged into her industry, working for clients such as Discovery Channel and National Geographic Kids within her first year out of school.
