About the Author

Ben Bloomfield is married with three children, who at the age of thirty-three was diagnosed with a condition, known as right-atrial tachycardia. He was assured that the condition would be resolved within a fortnight via a simple procedure - it would be a 'blip' on an otherwise active and healthy lifestyle. After eighteen months, six procedures and a permanent cardiac pacemaker being implanted, Ben is now fully dependent on his artificial heartbeat and had to change every element of his life along the way.
