It Was Never Just About the Numbers

t Was Never Just About the Numbers isn't a book about numbers-or money, credit, debt, or even wealth. It's a mirror.

Dr. Lisa Hoover invites readers to look beyond balance sheets and bank statements to uncover the deeper truths shaping how we see ourselves, our value, and our potential. Through storytelling, reflection, and lived experience, she reveals how silence, fear, and inherited narratives have shaped our financial identities-and how shifting our mindset is the first act of true liberation.

Drawing from her background in law, real estate, and education, Dr. Hoover bridges the gap between what we were taught and what truly builds financial freedom. From the boardroom to the kitchen table, she has watched people wrestle with the same question in different forms: Am I enough? She exposes how systems, habits, and silence have shaped our relationship with money, credit, wealth, and debt-and shows how reclaiming our financial power begins with knowledge, mindset, and strategy.

It Was Never Just About the Numbers is a transformational conversation about worth, wellness, and freedom. Through engaging stories, practical wisdom, and real talk, Dr. Hoover reminds readers that wealth isn't just measured in dollars-it's reflected in clarity, conviction, and courage.
