Hardcover, original boards with restored spine, original spine label reattached, engraved frontispiece, untrimmed edges, 451 pp. + [1] ad; plates I, II, IV, V (the latter two are maps). Wear to edges of boards, but spine restoration has made this copy sturdy and attractive. Feinaigle (1760-1819) was attacked in the press, but his methods of memorization gained scores of adherents. His topical system was similar to that of the ancient Greeks.
