About the Authors:
<p>Donald J. Wiseman (1918–2010) was emeritus professor of Assyriology at the University of London in England.</p>
<p>I. Howard Marshall (1934–2015) was a world-renowned New Testament scholar and the author or editor of dozens of books. He taught New Testament at the University of Aberdeen for thirty-five years and was a professor emeritus for sixteen years.</p>
<p>Alan Millard is Rankin Professor of Hebrew and Ancient Semitic Languages at the University of Liverpool. He is the author of many articles and books as well as coeditor of the <em>Dictionary of the Ancient Near East</em> (British Museum Press) anda consulting editor for the <em>New Bible Dictionary</em> (IVP).</p>
<p>J. I. Packer (1926–2020) is regarded as one of the most well-known theologians of our time. Once named to <em>Time</em> magazine's list of the 25 Most Influential Evangelicals in America, Packer served as Board of Governors' Professor of Theologyat Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. His books include <em>Knowing God</em>, <em>Praying</em>, <em>A Quest for Godliness</em>, <em>Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God</em>, and <em>Rediscovering Holiness</em>. </p>
