This book provides skills to help new Christians to publicly acknowledge their faith in Jesus in spite of negative social pressure from their surrounding culture. (e.g., some Muslim, Buddhist, Shinto, Hindu, Jewish, animist, and a few cultures that refuse to recognize Christians from any denomination other than the state-sponsored denomination). Sometimes, strong negative social pressure also arises in subcultures such as an individual family unit, prison group, homosexual community, or indigenous tribe.

About the Author
Nathan and Beth travel internationally challenging audiences on the importance of emotional and spiritual health. They serve as consultants for pastors who seek confidential counseling on issues such as depression, anxiety, transition, marital stress, and conflict resolution. They work across evangelical denominations to provide culturally appropriate training. Prior to her marriage to Nathan, Beth served for 25 years as an evangelical missionary in Vietnam, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Belgium. She holds a Doctor of Ministry degree and is a board certified health care chaplain. In her current role as director of HealthCare Ministries she provides resources for health care evangelism world-wide. Nathan grew up in Japan, the son of missionaries Dr. Jim and Genevieve Davis. Before becoming a missionary, he served the U.S. Air Force as a psychologist for 29 years. Nathan serves as a facilitator for seminars on relationship enhancement, crisis debriefing, spiritual formation, and resilience.
