The New Complete Guide to Environmental Careers: The Environmental Careers Organization

For students, recent college graduates, volunteers, career counselors, and anyone interested in working to protect the environment in the '90s, this is the most complete and reliable source of information available today.

Since the initial publication of The Complete Guide to Environmental Careers, the need for practical information on environmental career opportunities has grown tremendously. The New Complete Guide to Environmental Careers is an entirely revised and updated edition that provides readers with an invaluable overview of the entire spectrum of environmental career fields.

While retaining the personal narratives and breadth of information that made The Complete Guide so valuable, The New Complete Guide features a new, easy-to-read format and includes more statistical data, more information about educational paths to specific careers, new and expanded case studies, and in-depth analyses of environmental fields. Also included is general job-hunting information covering topics such as education, internships, volunteer programs, and career strategies.

The Environmental Careers Organization (ECO) is the country's leading environmental careers development organization.

ECO's mission is to protect and enhance the environment through the development of diverse leaders, the promotion of careers, and the inspiration of individual action. ECO accomplishes this through internships, career advice, career products, research and consulting.

Founded in 1972, ECO has placed nearly 7,500 college, grad students and recent graduates in environmental internships in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. ECO has become a leader in workforce diversity and mentorship, sponsoring 1,850 Associates from 200+ colleges through ECO's ground breaking Diversity Initiative, which began in 1992. And ECO services and resources reach out to hundreds of thousands each year through the combined programs of our national career conferences, top selling career book, research, college outreach programs and online through our website. For 30 years, ECO has been a pathway to environmental careers.
