Bumping to corners. Loss of end pages at front and rear, along with some cracking to hinges. Last page partly torn in middle down spine. Tear to p. 294. Assorted markings at front and rear, including an 1805 ownership inscription from John Bradford of Lansingburgh (now part of Troy), New York. A scarce arithmetic book produced by Worcester printer Isaiah Thomas. A newspaper printer and publisher, Thomas (1749-1831) was the first to report the Battle of Lexington and Concord, did the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence in the city, and later founded the American Antiquarian Society.
