New Discovery and Exploration Methods of Porphyry and Epithermal Mineral Deposits

As one of the most valuable deposit types, the porphyry deposit is one of great interest to both industry and academia. Porphyry and the genetically and spatially correlated epithermal deposits are common topics of exploration and genesis research, representing one of the most deeply understood deposit types. However, new discoveries and insights into their formation and exploration emerge relatively frequently, which improve our understanding of porphyry deposits while providing better exploration strategies for new exploration campaigns. To keep the industry and academia updated with knowledge of recent discoveries and progress in metallogeny and exploration methods of porphyry and epithermal deposits, this reprint disseminates knowledge about geology, geochronology, hydrothermal processes, indicator minerals, geochemistry, geophysics, and the spectroscopy of porphyry and epithermal deposits across Xizang (Tibet, China), Xinjiang (China), northern China, Türkiye, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Siberia, Hungary, and France.
