13pp extract, printed in double columns, illustrated with photographs and diagrams and drawings, first page-only was damaged and is here presented in reproduction, salvaged from a damaged issue of The Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine, Volume XLIX, No. 3, January, 1895. Illustrations include engine parts, sections of the engine, connecting rods, throttle valves, the gas generator, steam pressure regulator, rudders, several photographic plates of the workshop, runway, steam engine, boiler, water-fed heater, dynagraphs, apparatus for testing fabric, burner and apparatus for inducing the air, four photos of the 1893 craft, including a starboard and port view after the crash, two of the multi - winged craft as it would appear in flight, and four diagrams of rudder action and the effects of lift. Early, important piece of aviation science by one of its pioneers. Housed in mylar report cover.
