The New Freedom's Cause (Paperback)

Paperback. "In Freedom's Cause" was a historical fiction novel by G.A. Henty, which told the story of the war for Scottish independence through the eyes of Archie Forbes, a young noble who joins William Wallace in the fight against English King Edward I. Archie experiences many challenges, including imprisonment, a violent storm at sea, and a daring rescue of a brave maiden. Along the way, he encourages Robert the Bruce to take up the Scottish cause and continues to fight for Scotland's freedom. In this newly retold version, the story continues to explore the themes of loyalty, courage, and determination in the face of adversity, now retold in contemporary English.
