Scarlet bevilled boards, the front lettered and decorated in black, the two front corners rubbed and 3 cm of front edge abraded; a 3 cm x 2 cm stain on top edge; the rear panel, decorated in black, lightly soiled and a 1 cm x 8cm stain along top edge; the spine, lettered in gilt, has been professionally rebacked with a little loss to the original cloth around top and base. Internally new black endpapers; blank side of half-title a little marked as is the title page; a finger mark on page 9 but contents thereafter generally clean and tight apart from 2 cm x 5 mm stains on all the Index pages. Pp 496. Three old recipes laid in. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
