Museum of Modern Art, New York, 1959. Softcover, unpaginated. A prospectus and exhibition catalog featuring the proposed first expansion of MOMA, to be executed by Philip Johnson Associates. Very good condition with a previous owner name on front flyleaf, rubbed wraps and age toning of wraps and page edges. This copy belonged to Margareta Akermark ((1914-1983), whose name appears on the front wrap. Ms. Akermark was an early director of MOMA's widely-acclaimed film program. A printed invitation to the black-tie opening for this exhibition, plus an internal MOMA staff memo were both found inside this copy and are laid in.
