Previous owner?s signed bookplate (?Flag and staff erected 1862?) affixed to the front pastedown. The boards are scuffed. The pages are toned. A previous owner has attached pages at the back of the book containing newspaper opera reviews from the 1880s as well as the program from a 1910-1911 Boston season Madama Butterfly performance. The book is a classic and has been reprinted many times, the latest in 2018. Where possible, all books come with dust jacket in a clear protective plastic sleeve, sealed in a ziplock bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, shipped in a box.
