With a full page letter, signed by Paul Knabe of the C. V.Mosby publishing company to W. Scott Hancock, who is noted in the Publisher's announcement of the book, about the updating of the book. Introduction by Sir William Osler. With a two page color reproduction of a painting about Beaumont and his subject. xxxi, 327 pp with many b & w illustrations. Two internal pages with some smudging. 1/4 brown cloth, tan paper on boards with Beaumont's picture in oval, light soiling. A good plus copy. An important treatise on Digestion.
