The New Quilt: Interpretations and Innovations

This features full color images and explanatory captions for the Eighty-two quilts juried into Quilt National '89, the sixth in a series of biennial international competitions. Text and interesting comments by jurors Yvonne Porcella, Bernard Kester and Chris Wolf Edmonds support and explain the selections. The book also includes a retrospective of Quilt National's first decade. Color photographs of selected works from the earliest Quilt National exhibits demonstrate the variety of designs represented, and a most valuable index of all the artists and works from the past ten years completes this volume. Designers, artists and quilters all will delight in this important contribution documenting quilting in this decade.
