Mrs. Trimmer designed lessons and accompanying volumes of illustrations about Ancient, Roman, English and Scripture History, which were first published by John Marshall in the 1780-90s and then reissued by Harris, Hatchard and Tabart at the beginning of the 19th century. A handsome little set, sympathetically rebacked with gilt rules.
