Black cloth boards are dulled with age, corners worn, spine worn with holes, text almost obliterated with time, rear has discoloration. Pencil writing inside front cover and endpaper, rear endpapers have pencil writing, rubbings of quarters and pen name. Contains song "Jim Crow" as sung by Mr. Rice. Thomas D. Rice was a white minstrel singer who performed in blackface. The performances of this song by Rice are the origins of the phrase "Jim Crow." All orders packed with care, most dust jackets protected by Brodart sleeve, independent bookseller since 2011.
