No date. Circa 1940's/50's. Blue limp linen covers depicting two children gazing at a shooting star. One of a series of school readers based on a combination of phonics and sentence methods of learning to read. Contains superb vintage illustrations in colour and black and white. This series of books was popularly used in Scottish primary schools certainly during the 1950's and as late as 1960's. Very scarce. Fair condition.
