Engraved pictorial title, featuring "First Landing of Columbus in the New World," 6 pp author's notice, contents and index, 69 hand-colored engraved maps. Bound in contemporary quarter sheep over paper boards. Worn generally, the hinges taped and repaired. Several maps repared at the margins verso. The six larger European maps shaved. Bookplate and ink ownership inscription of Lawrence Shaw Mayo, and bookplate of the Reed Free Library, Surry, NH.
